an interesting set of requirements

I received a commission from a collector of my work, for a indoor horizontal Mobile that would be positioned over the sliding door leading to a large deck. The room is quite large, in light tones and white ceilings. The space above the door to the ceiling is 16”. This Mobile will have to fit in a shallow space.

The client likes the idea from the Asteroid series but wants something smaller and a Mobile that would dispense with the gradient colors and be in the manner of “Astral Planing” that is being shown at this time at the Carmel Art Association.

Constellator is 14” high 48” wide 52” deep

(with Mobiles the depths dimension is twice the measurement of of the widest radius from the hanging point of the Mobile as to allow unencumbered free motion all around)
